Project 'Emotional Culture and Identity'
Dr Pilar León gave an address on ‘The Emotional Culture and Identity project: a presentation of the latest publications' at the XVIII Symposium of the Spanish Society for the History of Medicine. She also spoke on 'Creating identity: education and recreation at La Conciliación, the Society for the Protection of Workers (1902-1984)' at the VII Congress of Social History, organized by the Society of Social History. Both events took place at the Complutense University of Madrid.
Dr Javier Serrano presented a paper on ‘The self in social networks: interaction and expression of identity in the digital environment' at the International University Conference on ‘Communication in the Profession and the University today: Content, Research, Innovation and Teaching (CUICIID 2013)'. The event was held at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Alejandro Vigo spoke on the subject of 'Heidegger y el enigma de Platón' at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (Mexico).
Project "Education of Human Affectivity and Sexuality
Dr Jokin de Irala was invited to speak at the EIFLE Congress in Paris. He lectured on ‘Prevention and risk compensation. Are some public health responses to AIDS and other STIs failing?' He also gave a presentation entitled ‘A Diagnostic Evaluation of the Lifestyles of Young People in Schools: a tool for autonomous diagnosis and educational intervention' at the IV National Congress of Nursing and Health in Schools.
ATLANTES Program
Dr Carlos Centeno participated in the XX Congress Nazionale della Societá Italiana di Cure Palliative (SICP) which was held in Bologna on the subject of ‘II programmi di specialità medica in Cure Palliative in Europa: uno studio di fattibilità per la definizione del modello italiano'. Dr. Centeno also attended the VI Palliative Care Conference in Castilla y León on ‘Hacia unos Cuidados Paliativos Integrados', organized by the Leonese Society of Palliative Care.
Project 'Religion and Civil Society'
Dr Jaume Aurell and Dr Montserrat Herrero participated in the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes (CHCI) on 'Religion, Secularism and Political Belonging', held in Arizona.
