Researching and thinking about international relations is the goal of the think tank Global Affairs & Strategic Studies created by the Degree in International Relations of the University of Navarra. Global Affairs is born with the purpose of becoming a relevant think tank in the field of geopolitics. It has a dual mission: the strategic analysis of what happens in the international scenario – something oriented to the prospection and the implementation of policies –, and the formation of new generations of outstanding experts and actors in that field.

This last aspect is expressed in the wide participation of students in the different processes of the center, in order to deepen their knowledge of the various regions of the world and at the same time develop reading, analyses and writing skills.

The team of Global Affairs consists of a group of professors, some PhD students and some sixty undergraduate students, from all the course years. Organized in seminars by areas of the world they study issues ranging from security and defense, and trade and economy, to energy, logistics or governance. As a result of this activity they write different kind of publications – articles, analyzes, essays, working papers – to be publish on the center's website, which was launched on January 24.

Global Affairs is also spreading its work through the Twitter account @GlobalAffairsUN, and a Newsletter. Likewise, the center has begun to schedule events on the Pamplona campus, and it plans to carry out part of its regular public activity also in Madrid.
