The School of Medicine of the University of Navarra has awarded Rodrigo Sánchez Bayona its Extraordinary Prize for his academic achievements. The graduate is preparing for the residency exam that  will take place in January.  "I feel very pleased with getting this award and am grateful for all the people who believed in me during University, especially my family and, my mentor, Doctor Jesús Pueyo,…", said Sánchez who is planning to study Medical Oncology as a specialty.

He added, "I think university is an unforgettable part of life. I must highlight the stories and patients that I have met and that have helped me learn. "Studying Medicine is like a marathon, but is really worth it", he added.

Finally, he said that his key for success was studying from the very beginning. "My other piece of advice for students would be to enjoy every day at the University. Personally, I felt that every day was like the first day".
