During the 2016-2017 academic year, ICS obtained 21 grants worth €960,823 in competitive public and private calls

These grants will help finance part of upcoming academic years andinclude two Marie Curie fellowships from the European Commission and a number of different Spanish ministries

The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS), the humanities and social sciences research center at the University of Navarra, obtained 21 grants, with a total value of €960,823, during the 2016-2017 academic year. The grants were the result of competitive public and private application processes. This money will be used to finance part of the next academic years.

Among the most prestigious grants awarded are two Marie Curie fellowships, funded by the European Commission and endowed with €170,121 each. Another came from the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) for $63,760; ICS also obtained a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness for €208,600. The ICS was awarded a Juan de la Cierva Fellowship, also from the Spanish Ministry of Economy for €64,000, as well as one from the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs for €42,683.

In addition to competitive grants, another six non-competitive private entities awarded the ICS a total of €1,283,370. Among the granting institutions include the La Caixa Social Work Fund, Caja Navarra Banking Foundation, Zurich SegurosBanco Santander and Social Trends Institute.
