Equipment

Information Counter:

  • Equipment for hearing impaired: 3 magnetic bubbles.

Multipurpose Room:

  • 1 place reserved.
  • Equipment for the visually impaired: OCR (Optical Character Recognition), large screens, photocopier with the capacity to expand A3, earphones, and magnifying glass.
  • Equipment for the hearing impaired: documents with subtitles (programs for reproducing) and webcam.
  • Equipment for those with motor impairment: ergonomic mouse and keyboard and 2 adjustable desks.

Information Counter:

  • Equipment for hearing impaired: a magnetic bubble.

Software

All adapted information points have the following:

Equipment for the visually impaired:

  • Jaws: screen reading software.
  • ZoomText: extension software, contrast variation and color.  
  • Windows Magnifier: magnifier application to increase the area around the cursor on the screen.

Equipment for the hearing impaired:

  • Meets: Google application that allows for videocalls.

Equipment for the visually impaired:

  • MICE: program that allows users to access the computer using another type of physical device (keyboard) other than a conventional mouse.

Equipment for those with development / learning disorders:

  • Mindomo: software to create mental and conceptual maps.
  • CMapTools: tool to create conceptual maps.

Specialized applications for cellphones useful for users with special needs are:

  • Ability Connect: free application adapted to the needs of deaf and visually impaired or dyslexic.
  • Hand Talk: translate sign language using an avatar, spoken or written words.
  • Voice Dream Reader: an iOS application that reads articles, documents, and books out loud.
  • Voice Dream Writer:  iOS writing tool that automatically corrects while typing. It also works for dictating texts and rereads them to ensure that everything is in order.

Mobile adjustments:

  • VoiceOver: setting included in the iOS operating system of the iPhone or iPad. It is activated in the Settings / General / Accessibility / VoiceOver or triple-tapping the Start Button. The accessibility features, activated by triple-tapping the Start button can be adjusted in Settings / General / Accessibility /Rapid
