PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Josep Alfonso Caro began his career in the public sector as an advisor to various regional government ministries in the areas of communication, external relations and protocol.

He then moved into the private sector, where he gained more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He held a range of different managerial roles in the areas of strategic communication, reputation, branding, media relations, sponsorship, institutional relations, internal communication and social media.

Since February 2013, he has been the Director of the AXA Foundation, which manages the corporate responsibility strategy of the AXA Group and the many initiatives the Group organizes throughout Spain.

In early 2013, he was also appointed Vice President of AXA de Todo Corazón, a non-profit association responsible for the AXA Group’s volunteering and solidarity-based activities in Spain.
