Results and indicators
The quality of the Doctoral Program in Cell and Molecular Biology, the predecessor of the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Research, stands out in terms of the results it achieved. Between 2007 and 2011, a total of 75 doctoral dissertations were defended (an average of 15 per year), each of which has given rise to an average of 3.6 publications in high-impact international journals. As an example, in 2010, 17 doctoral dissertations were defended, producing 56 publications that had an average impact index of 5.4 for the year 2010, according to the Journal of Citations Reports (JCR).
