Admission
In order to be admitted to the Doctoral program, it is necessary to have completed the Licentiate in Theology (STL) with a high degree of achievement, as evidenced in the academic record and, in particular, in the thesis or final dissertation. The completion of the Licentiate does not grant the right to access the Doctorate, so in all cases admission to these studies must be requested. If the students are clerics (secular or regular) they must have the written permission of their superiors and a commitment to stay at the University of Navarra for at least one academic year of on-site work.
The candidate will submit the application through the miUNAV portal, as indicated on the website of the Doctoral School.
For admission to the Doctoral Program the following is required:
-
Accreditation of a Licentiate in Theology (STL).
-
Permission of the Bishop or Religious Superior in the case of consecrated persons.
-
Excellent academic record.
-
To have completed a licentiate thesis as a guarantee of research capacity.
-
Personal interview with the Doctoral Program Coordinator.
-
Proficiency in two modern languages in addition to one's own. In the case of students of Sacred Scripture, proficiency in Latin and Greek.
-
Commitment to work at the University for at least one academic year.
-
Financial support and a stable residence permit for at least two years in the case of foreign students.
-
Approval of a thesis topic and thesis supervisor by the Doctoral Commission.
