Aurora Bernal

Professor Bernal earned a PhD in education sciences and is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the School of Education and Psychology at the University of Navarra, where she also serves as a professor of educational theory and history.
She has been a visiting professor at the Universidad Católica de Occidente (El Salvador) and the Universidad de La Sabana (Colombia), a visiting research scholar of educational philosophy at Harvard University's Education Research Center, and a researcher and director of the Cooperative Education Program within the Instituto Tecnológico Condoray (Peru).
She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Estudios sobre Educación journal and, since June 2014, has been the director of the Educational Science Collection's editorial board for the publisher EUNSA.
She is the author of several books, including Educación del carácter-Educación moral. Propuestas educativas de Aristóteles y Rousseau (1998), El voluntariado. Educación para la participación social (2002) and La familia como ámbito educativo (2009). She is also the co-author of the following books, Educación familiar: infancia y adolescencia (2012), Family as Primary Educator. A sociological Study (2008) and Retos de la educación social (2005).
Prof. Bernal has participated in several research projects and is currently working with the Emotional Culture and Identity project within the Institute for Culture and Society.
