Request for Legal Deposit

To request a Legal Deposit number, complete the following form.

As soon as the process is completed, we will send you an e-mail to your e-mail address with the assigned Legal Deposit number, as well as the number of copies required for its deposit, which must be sent by internal mail to the Publications Service (Central Library Building) always before the distribution or sale of the publication.

The Publications Service will be responsible for sending the corresponding copies to the Legal Deposit of the Government of Navarra always before the distribution or sale of the publication.

Furthermore, as required by the new Law 8/2022, of 4 May, which modifies Law 23/2011, of 29 July, on Legal Deposit, which comes into force on 2 January 2023, in the case of books and journals outside the Publications Service -which already manages its own-, the digital file must also be sent by email to spublicaciones@unav.es prior to printing.

In the event that the applicant has copies or files pending delivery from previous applications after the established deadline, they must be delivered before applying for a new Legal Deposit number.


It constitutes an infringement, with the corresponding sanction, the failure to constitute the D. L. of a publication within the regulatory deadlines and number of copies, as well as the distribution of a publication subject to D. L. that lacks the corresponding number (the typology of infringements and the amount of the sanctions can be consulted in Law 23/2011, of 29 July, on legal deposit, Arts. 18-20.
