Summer Programmes at Cologne Business School
A 10% discount of the programme fees will be offered to all ISSA students who apply before 30th April 2015.
Cologne Business School offers two Summer Programmes for International Students. One of them is focused on Business in Germany and the other is focused on Media and Communications. Participants of the Communication Programme should have studied in one of the study fields mentioned below for at least one year before applying.
- Student´s must apply before 30th April 2015 if they want to get a 10% discount off the Programme fees.
- Summer Programmes will be offered in June and July 2015.
Applicants for the CBS Summer Programmes should have a high level of English language proficiency as English is the language of instruction for all modules.
Doing Business in Germany (8 ECTS)13 – 31 July 2015 Students will learn about the main developments in recent German economic issues, government and politics and will understand the key competencies in major German business areas, the influences of German and European political efforts on German economic development and the coherencies with other international markets. A part of the program will consist of company visits and field trips to different German and international enterprises in the Cologne region as well as an intensive weekend seminar on Cross-Cultural Management. The programme aims to attract university students with or without a Business background, who are interested in the German economic and business related issues as well as the language and culture. Managing Creative Industries in Germany and Europe (12 ECTS)15 June – 17 July 2015 |
This programme is intended to enhance the participants‘ understanding of the management of creative industries by focusing on crucial aspects affecting media management and on current practices utilized in dominant markets around the world. There will be a focus on the economic, political and cultural contextswhich have been influencing and shaping the industry as well as on the theoretical approaches utilized to analyze the effects of mass media on audiences and society. A part of the program will consist of company visits and field trips to different Media enterprises in the Cologne region as well as an intensive weekend seminar on Cross-Cultural Management. This programme aims to attract students with a Media, Communications or Business background who are interested in learning more about creative industries, the development of mass media as well as influences and challenges of mass media in Germany and Europe.
