On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the award of the Honorary Doctorate, the University of Navarra wishes to recall the legacy and the theology of Joseph Ratzinger / Benedict XVI. In line with the Second Vatican Council and the teachings of Pope Francis, we would like to explore his ideas on evangelization. Specifically, we will approach this theme according to a triptych: first, Scripture as the first point of reference in evangelization, with particular attention to the question of hermeneutics; second, the liturgy, in which Christ also makes himself present among us and gives life to the Church; finally, on the third day, we will look at the dialogue that the Christian faith has maintained with reason and culture, both in antiquity and in our own time. We are particularly grateful for the initiative of the Ratzinger Foundation, which we are happy to welcome to our University in honor of our Doctor honoris causa.
